A Women Safety Awareness Programme under the Singappen Sirappu Athiradi Padai initiative was organized by the NSS Unit of Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore at M Block – JN Hall on 18 June 2026, from 2.30 PM to 3.30 PM.The programme was conducted by the Tamil Nadu Police Women as part of the Singappen Sirappu Athiradi Padai awareness initiative. The session focused on creating awareness among students about women’s safety, personal security, self-confidence, cyber safety, and the importance of reporting crimes without fear. The resource persons also emphasized the legal rights of women and encouraged students to be vigilant, responsible, and confident in ensuring their own safety and supporting a safe society.round 250 students from various departments actively participated in the programme and benefited from the informative and interactive awareness session. The programme successfully promoted awareness on women’s safety and empowered students with valuable knowledge to face real-life situations with confidence.
