AI & Data Science inaugurated four student clubs on 29 August 2026. Mr. Akash C and Mr. Subramanian K shared insights on emerging technologies, industry trends and career opportunities. The clubs promote technical skills, innovation and student participation.
The Club Inauguration of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Karpagam College of Engineering, was successfully conducted on 29 August 2026 at LBS Hall – C Block. The event marked the formal inauguration of four vibrant student clubs:
- Troubleshooters Club
- AI Innovation Club
- AI in Healthcare Club
- Kaggle Club
The programme was convened by Dr. G. Vijaya, HoD/AD, and Dr. P. Karthigaikumar, Principal, with the support of Dr. Sophia S, Dean Academics. The event was coordinated by Dr. I. Surenther, AP/AD; Dr. S. Castro, AP/AD; Dr. R. Nithiyavathy, ASP/AD; and Dr. R. Keerthika, ASP/AD.
The event featured distinguished Resource Persons Mr. Akash C, Member of Technical Staff, GoML-Coimbatore and Prominent Alumnus of KCE Class of 2024, and Mr. Subramanian K, Automation Test Lead, Indium Software (India) Private Limited, Chennai. They shared valuable insights on emerging technologies, industry trends, innovation, and career opportunities, motivating students to actively participate in technical learning and professional development.
The inauguration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, providing an excellent platform for students to explore their interests, develop technical skills, and engage in upcoming club activities and initiatives.
