The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Karpagam College of Engineering, organized the inauguration of its student clubs on 02 September 2026 at Academic Hall 1. The event served as the official launch of four specialized technical clubs:
PCB Craft Club
Signal Processing & AI Club
Embedded Systems Club
Quantum Computing Club
The programme was organized by Dr. R. Vadivelu, Prof./ECE; Dr. A. Parthibaraj, AP/ECE; Dr. C. Priya, ASP/ECE; and Mrs. R. Deepika, AP/ECE. The initiative received the valuable guidance and encouragement of Dr. P. Karthigaikumar, Principal,Dr. S. Sophia, Dean-Academics,and Dr. R. Sarankumar, Prof. & Head/ECE.
The inauguration was enriched by the presence of Mr. Prakasham Ponnusamy, Senior Software Engineer, Visteon Technical and Services Centre Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, as the Resource Person. He addressed the students on the latest developments in technology, expectations of the industry, innovation, and prospective career pathways. His interaction encouraged students to enhance their technical knowledge and prepare themselves for future professional challenges.
The programme brought together faculty members and students with active participation and enthusiasm. The newly established clubs are envisioned as platforms for students to gain practical exposure and pursue their interests in PCB design, signal processing, AI, embedded technology, and quantum computing. Through these clubs, students can take part in technical events, workshops, project activities, innovation initiatives, and industry-focused learning experiences.
The Department sincerely acknowledges the continuous support and encouragement extended by Dr. P. Karthigaikumar, Principal,Dr. S. Sophia, Dean-Academics and Dr. R. Sarankumar, Prof. & Head/ECE. The Department also expresses its appreciation to Mr. Prakasham Ponnusamy, the coordinators, faculty members, and students whose involvement and contribution helped make the club inauguration a meaningful and successful occasion.
